All Charges Against Scottie Scheffler Dropped
It was said Scheffler has no plans to pursue a lawsuit against Louisville's Police Department and that he just wants to move on.
All criminal charges against world No. 1 golfer, Scottie Scheffler, have been dropped.
Scheffler was charged with second-degree assault of a police officer, third-degree criminal mischief, reckless driving and disregarding signals from officers directing traffic. He was arrested outside Louisville’s Valhalla Golf Club, which was hosting the PGA Championship.
Scheffler’s attorney denied that the golfer assaulted anyone. In the immediate aftermath of the incident, Scheffler said it was a “big misunderstanding” in a statement adding he “never intended to disregard any of the instructions.”
In a hearing Wednesday, all of his charges were dropped. It was revealed the officer who arrested him did not have his body camera on at the time.
