Uber Eats has announced new features that aim to assist customers with food allergies.

One of the new features is declaimers noted on each store that explain if it can accommodate food allergies or not. Another one is a special instructions field that will allow consumers to pre-choose from an allergens list or make their own which will be saved to their account.

An additional feature is the ability to call the merchant and disclose food allergies, if they are able to receive phone calls.

There are also new features to assist merchants in accepting allergy requests.

The add ons are set to roll out starting in June.
