Volkswagen Issues Voluntary Recall On Nearly 80,000 Vehicles

Volkswagen has issued a voluntary recall on nearly 80,000 vehicles.
The recall covers ID.4 electric sport utility vehicles. The model years affected are 2021 to 2023.
The recall was placed over display issues. A software malfunction could cause the instrument panel to sporadically reset or not boot at all. In result, the panel may fail to display speed or the rearview camera which could increase the risk of crash.
The issue can be resolved through a software update free of charge. Volkswagen will begin notifying owners about the recall via mail.
