Chicken Fried Bacon
4 cups Peanut Oil
1 lb thick cut Bacon
1 Tbsp multi-purpose seasoning blend, plus more as needed
2 cups Flour
2 tsp Salt
1 tsp Pepper
1 tsp Paprika
2 large Eggs
1/4 cup Beer or Water
2 tsp Maple Syrup
Ranch or Jalapeno Ranch Dressing for serving
Line a rimmed baking dish with paper towels and set a wire rack inside.
Heat oil in a large deep skillet or Dutch oven over medium heat to 350 degrees. Meanwhile, cut bacon in half and season evenly on both sides with multi-purpose seasoning.
Whisk together, flour, salt, pepper, and paprika in a shallow bowl. Alternatively, season flour with additional multi-purpose seasoning.
Blend eggs, beer and syrup together in a separate bowl.
Coat each piece of bacon lightly in seasoning flour. Then coat in egg mixture, allowing excess to drip off. Coat again in flour. Set aside until all pieces are coated and oil is hot.
Fry each piece in hot oil, flipping occasionally, until crispy and golden brown. About 4 to 5 minutes. Be sure to maintain oil temp between 3030 to 350 degrees. Set bacon on the wire rack.
