Man Charged After Knocking Someone Out Resulting In Hospitalization
55-year-old Frank Capolino is now in a medically-induced coma after having emergency surgery to stop the bleeding and swelling in his brain.
One man was arrested after punching another man and knocking him unconscious at a bar in Carolina Forest.
Shortly before 2am on Sunday, police responded to Tavern in the Forest on reports of a fight.
Upon arrival, they were informed that Anthony Albanese of Myrtle Beach had punched the victim in the face, knocking him out and causing his head to hit the floor.
55-year-old Frank Capolino is now in a medically-induced coma after having emergency surgery to stop the bleeding and swelling in his brain. He was put on a breathing tube and is in life-threatening condition.
Albanese has been charged with first-degree assault and battery. He was booked into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center but has since been released on a $20,000 bond.
Further investigation is underway.
