MB Fire Dept. Offers Fire and Water Safety Tips Ahead of Memorial Day Weekend

How to stay safe while grilling out and swimming this summer!

Greg speaks with Capt. Jonathan Evans of the Myrtle Beach Fire Department ahead of Memorial Weekend and the summer season about fire and water safety.

If you’re grilling out this weekend or throughout the summer season, make sure yor grill is pulled away from the house and not under a covered area and you let charcoal cool before disposing of it.

The safest way to enjoy fireworks in our area is to go to a place that is putting on a show, such as Second Ave. Pier, Broadway at the Beach or a Pelicans game. Fireworks are not allowed to be shot off on the beach.
