ICC Seeks Arrest Warrants For Israel And Hamas’ Top Leaders
The warrants against the Israeli politicians mark the first time the ICC has targeted the top leader of a close ally of the United States.
The International Criminal Court is seeking arrest warrants for Hamas’ leader and Israel’s prime minister.
The ICC wants to charge Yahya Sinwar and Benjamin Netanyahu for war crimes and crimes against humanity over the deadly October 7 attacks on Israel and the wide-range war in Gaza.
The ICC is also seeking warrants for Israel’s defense minister and two other top Hamas leaders.

A panel of judges will now consider the application for the arrest warrants. The process is expected to take around two months.
