Horry County Fire Rescue Hosts Grand Opening Of New Station

Horry County Fire Rescue held a ribbon cutting ceremony Wednesday for a new fire station.

Station Four is located in the Forestbrook Community on Burcales Road.

The new station aims to better serve residents who live in the busy community.

Members of the public and a few elected officials with Horry County spoke at the event.

Instead of a traditional ribbon cutting, the event concluded with a ceremonial “uncoupling of the hoses,” a fire service tradition that involves separating two hoses that were hooked together.
