Jason McCormick and Zeke Meares of Karate World were in the studio to talk about the upcoming Break-A-Thon event that will support veterans through SOAR Program with Access of Wilmington.

SOAR stands for Sports Outreach Adapted Recreation, offers adaptive sports programs for veterans living with service-connected illness or injury.

The event will take place on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at 11:00 am on the patio behind Old Chicago pizza. Karate World students will demonstrate their skills by breaking real boards, showcasing their dedication to supporting veterans in need.

Donations collected during the event will directly benefit Access of Wilmington, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (tax ID number 37.1571998), which serves 75 veterans and collaborates with multiple Veteran Service Organizations to extend its outreach to hundreds more.
