Traffic Changes To Take Place In Myrtle Beach During Memorial Day Weekend

Road closures are also planned from 9am-Noon on May 25. The annual Military Appreciation Days Parade will take place during that time.

Memorial Day weekend is just around the corner! The holiday marks one of the busiest times along the Grand Strand.

There are some traffic patterns to note if you plan to travel in Myrtle Beach from May 24-27.

Only the southbound lanes along Ocean Boulevard between 29th Avenue N. and S. Kings Hwy will be open for drivers. The northbound lanes will be reserved for emergency personnel only.

Drivers will be able to access Ocean Boulevard to go southbound at several avenues including:

  • 21st Avenue North
  • Mr. Joe White Avenue
  • Ninth Avenue North
  • Third Avenue South
  • Ninth Avenue South
  • 13th Avenue South
  • 19th Avenue South
  • 25th Avenue South
  • 29th Avenue South

Traffic will not be allowed to use Chester Street, Withers Drive nor Yaupon drive as a shortcut-through.

Police officers will be set up along the Farrow Parkway parade route to help vehicles travel in and out of the area.
