Louisiana Man Extradited To Horry County In Connection To School Threats

The suspect is charged with threatening the use of a destructive device, a felony in which he could face up to 15-years if convicted.

A Louisiana man has been extradited to Horry County in connection to a bomb threat made against Carolina Forest High School.

In late April, six threats were made against the school in the span of several days.

One of the threats was linked to 19-year-old Trenton Brown of Baton Rouge. He has since been brought to Horry County where he was booked into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center.

Brown is charged with threatening the use of a destructive device, a felony in which he could face up to 15-years if convicted.

Two local juveniles have also been charged in connection to the threats.

Authorities linked two of the threats to a server in India.

Each threat is being investigated individually.
