First-Ever Myrtle Beach Classic Kicks Off

The event is taking place from now until Sunday at the Dunes Golf and Beach Club in Myrtle Beach.

The first-ever Myrtle Beach Classic kicked off Thursday and there are a few things you may need to know.

The event is taking place from now until Sunday at the Dunes Golf and Beach Club in Myrtle Beach.

The course is closed off for public play during the event.

The purse for the tournament is $4 million and the winner will also receive 300 FedEx Cup points.

Spectator gates will open at the course at 6:30am Friday but until 7am on Saturday and Sunday.

Tee times Friday will be the same as Thursday, between 6:50 and 8:40am and then between 11:30am and 1:20pm.

Parking for the event is in Lot-B of the former Myrtle Square Mall located along Oak Street.

Parking costs $15 per day and is not included with the purchase of a ticket.

A free public shuttle will be available but there is no on-site parking for spectators.
