Georgetown Co. Police Search For Man Wanted In Shooting Investigation

28-year-old Jazwon Gamble is wanted for attempted murder after allegedly shooting into an apartment

We now have an update on a fatal shooting situation that occurred last week in Georgetown County.

On Wednesday, police were called to the Arbor Place Apartments on N. Beech Street in Andrews.

Investigators revealed a shooting occurred after two men got into an argument when a former boyfriend of a woman showed up at her apartment.

During the argument, the former boyfriend threatened to shoot the other man and reached for a gun in his pocket. However, the other man drew his own gun and shot the victim first.

Jamar McClary died in the self-defense shooting.

The unnamed suspect will not be charged because the circumstances of the incident fall under the state’s ‘Stand Your Ground’ law.

In addition, police are still looking for 28-year-old Jazwon Gamble for his role in the shooting. He is wanted for attempted murder after allegedly shooting into the apartment after witnessing the deadly shooting.
