Police Search For Man Wanted In Connection To Rowland Shooting

The suspect is considered armed and dangerous and anyone who spots him is urged to refrain from making contact.

Police are searching for a man wanted in connection to a Robeson County shooting.

Shortly before 7pm Monday, officers reported to the 400 block of South Hickory Street in response to a domestic and shots fired call.

Upon arrival, they found a female victim shot in the arm. She was airlifted to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The suspected shooter has been identified as 37-year-old Deonta McDaniel of Rowland. He is considered armed and dangerous and anyone who spots him is urged to refrain from making contact.

Anyone with information on McDaniel’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Rowland Police Department or Robeson County officials.
