One Arrested For Drug Charges After Police Pursuit Reached 100mph

A woman is facing charges after a police pursuit led to the discovery of drugs.
Just before 10pm Friday, Horry County police attempted to stop a Ford Focus. The driver reportedly sped through a stop sign at 17th Avenue S. and Ocean Boulevard.
The driver failed to stop for blue lights and sped away reaching speeds up to 100mph.
The suspect drove through a gas station parking lot before turning onto Highway 17 business.
Officers were forced to deploy spike sticks which caused the vehicle to stall.
Krystall Cox then fled on foot before being captured nearly 20-feet from the vehicle.
Around 28-grams of cocaine was found in her possession.
No one was hurt during this incident.
Cox now faces charges of failure to stop for a blue light and trafficking in meth or cocaine. She is being held on a $55,000 bond
