Coastal Carolina University Moves To Recyclable Aluminum Water Bottles

Coastal Carolina University is working to help reduce waste and promote sustainability.
The college is taking steps to reduce its environmental footprint by offering aluminum water bottles on campus instead of single-use plastic bottles.
The university partnered with Costa Rican RainForest Artesian Water to create the Coastal-branded aluminum water bottles, and they’re 100% recyclable from top to bottom.
For now, the bottles are only available at concession stands. However, CCU said they plan on carrying them in campus grocery stores and dining facilities.
The bottles cost $5, which is the same as the single-use plastic water bottles.
