The Texan has been ranked No. 1 in the world for over 80 weeks during his short career. He has won eight times on the PGA Tour since February 2022.
Scheffler previously only had one major championship victory after winning the Masters in 2022.
After entering Sunday’s final round of the 88th Masters, Scheffler won his second green jacket by carding a four-under 68 over the 18 holes to finish at 11-under for the tournament. He beat Sweden’s Ludvig Åberg by just four strokes.
