Flash flooding was reported in the New Orleans area, where over a month’s worth of rain was recorded in over just a few hours.

In southeast Texas, floods caused evacuations and closed highways. Rescue operations were carried out in that incident as well.

Several suspected tornadoes caused damage across the Gulf Coast region as well.
