When to View the Partial Eclipse in the Myrtle Beach Area

Even though we will only have a partial eclipse, it's still important to wear special glasses or use a viewer in order to view.

Here’s what to know about seeing the partial eclipse in the Myrtle Beach area…

It will be visible beginning about 1:56 p.m. and ending at 4:27 p.m. At it’s peak, at 3:09 p.m. we will see about 70% of the sun covered by the moon for around 4 minutes. Even though we will only have a partial eclipse, it’s still important to wear special glasses or use a viewer in order to view. Regardless of if it’s covered by the moon or not, you’re still staring directly at the sun.
