Several were killed by tumbling boulders.

Search and rescue missions are currently underway.

At least 800 people have reported injuries so far while officials still work to locate survivors trapped under the rubble.

The quake was the strongest to shake the island since September of 1999 when a magnitude-7.6 quake left around 2,400 people dead.
