Land Cleared For Two New Horry Co. Elementary Schools
The new elementary schools will have an estimated capacity of 800 to 1,200 students.
Two new elementary schools expected to come to the Carolina Forest area are one step closer to being built.
Horry County School District officials announced plans to build the two new facilities last year.
Over the past few weeks, the land was cleared for each of the incoming schools.
One will be located along Carolina Forest Boulevard, while the other will be built along Ronald McNair Boulevard.
The new schools are needed due to an overflow of students at the current institutions.
The new elementary schools will have an estimated capacity of 800 to 1,200 students. They are slated to open for the 2025 to 2026 school year.
