Student Charged With Terrorism After Allegedly Making Threats Against School

Dillon County police have charged the teen with student threats and possession as well as threatened or attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction for an act of terrorism.

We now have an update on the threats made against Dillon High School.

On Monday, a threat shared through social media targeted athletes and African American people at the school.

The student who made the threat stated that Tuesday would be their “last day.” The student also said they would be “famous forever” and had a “big surprise.”

Extra deputies were present on school grounds Tuesday as a precaution while an investigation was underway.

A 16-year-old 10th grader has since been arrested for allegedly making the threats on their Facebook page.
