Myrtle Beach Cemetery Fire Under Investigation
The cemetery is closed off to the public Wednesday as the cause of the flames is now under investigation.
The Myrtle Beach Fire Department is investigating a fire that broke out at a cemetery Wednesday morning.
Shortly after 2am, crews responded to the Ocean Woods Memorial Cemetery of South Kings Highway near the Myrtle Beach International Airport for a structure fire.
Part of a maintenance building was on fire, but crews made sure the flames didn’t spread. They were able to put it out.
There was also a downed power line. Santee Cooper arrived on the scene to make sure crews were safe while fighting the fire.
No injuries were reported.
