Airbnb Bans Indoor Security Cameras In Its Listings Globally

Airbnb announced a significant change.

The vacation home-stay rental company said it is prohibiting the use of indoor security cameras in its listings globally.

Previously, Airbnb allowed indoor security cameras in common areas, as long as they were disclosed on the listing page before booking and clearly visible to guests.

Starting on April 30, no security cameras will be allowed inside listings, regardless of their location, purpose or prior disclosure.

Outdoor cameras will also not be allowed in certain areas.
