Sargento Recalls 11 Brands Of Cheese Linked To Listeria Outbreak

A recall has been placed on 11 brands of shredded cheese after being linked to a listeria outbreak.
Sargento Foods is recalling the cheese that was distributed to them from Rizo-López Foods.
The recall covers bags of shredded quesadilla cheese, fancy shredded blend, cheddar, white cheddar, monterey jack, swiss, parmesan and more sold to food service consumers.
The potentially contaminated bags were sold in 16 states including North Carolina.
The recall has been linked to a listeriosis contamination responsible for two deaths and two dozen illnesses across 11 states.
