Wanted Man Arrested After Attempted Traffic Stop Led To Brief Police Pursuit
The suspect was charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime along with other offenses related to the traffic stop.
A wanted attempted murder suspect was captured Tuesday.
Carrigan O’Neal faces several charges following a shooting on February 21 that occurred on Gladstone Street in Florence.
Tuesday afternoon, police witnessed O’Neal driving near West Darlington Street and attempted to initiate a traffic stop.
The suspect refused to stop, leading police on a pursuit.
O’Neal’s vehicle eventually struck a fence on Carver Circle before he got out of the vehicle and fled on foot.
Police released a K9 who led the search which resulted in O’Neals detainment. He was charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime along with other offenses related to the traffic stop.
