Meta Platforms Went Down For Thousands Of Users

Meta has yet to comment on what caused the outage, but did apologize for the inconvenience.

Several of Meta’s platforms went down for thousands of users Tuesday.

Over 550,000 Facebook users reported issues logging in or accessing the site. Meanwhile, around 92,000 outage reports were issued regarding Instagram and another 10,000 for Facebook Messenger.

The disruptions began around 10am and the platforms were back up after an over two hour outage.

The White House National Security Council confirmed there was no reason to believe any specific malicious cyber activity occurred.
