69-Year-Old Man Dies Following House Fire Near Loris
69-year-old Cecil Floyd died in the home as a result of smoke inhalation and thermal injuries.
A man died following a residential fire outside of Loris.
Shortly after 1am this morning, Horry County Fire Rescue crews responded to the 3000 block of Gause Road on reports of a structure fire.
The flames were under control by 4:30am.

Floyd is the second county resident to die in a fire this week.
On Thursday, 63-year-old Martha Bibbee died at a hospital after her house near Highway 917 and Farguson Road near Nichols caught fire.
