One EMT Was Airlifted To A Hospital After Crash Involving Ambulance

An EMT with the Pembroke Rescue Squad had to be airlifted to a hospital with injuries. Their condition is unknown at this time.

A crash occurred in Robeson County involving an emergency vehicle.

Just after noon on Tuesday, the ambulance was traveling east on Highway 74 in Pembroke when another vehicle pulled into its path attempting to cross the highway heading south on Highway 710.

An EMT with the Pembroke Rescue Squad had to be airlifted to a hospital with injuries. Their condition is unknown at this time.

Another EMT was taken to a hospital with injuries believed to be non-life threatening.

The occupants of the other vehicle were treated at the scene.

The ambulance was not responding to an emergency at the time of the accident.
