Average Amount the Tooth Fairy Gives has Dropped
According to a survey by Delta Dental, the Tooth Fairy is coughing up less dough per tooth.
It seems the Tooth Fairy is also feeling the sting of inflation. According to a survey by Delta Dental,
the Tooth Fairy is coughing up less dough per tooth for the first time since 2019. The national average gift value for a single tooth has dropped six percent to 5-dollars and 84-cents…down from last year’s figure of 6-dollars-23-cents. The decline is being blamed on high inflation felt by the Tooth Fairy’s helpers….also known as parents. Still, the price is the second highest value for a lost tooth and a 349-percent increase from 1998 when a lost tooth went for 1-dollar and 30-cents on average.
