New State GOP Primary Voter Turnout Record Set In S.C.

Horry County residents alone cast over 71,000 votes in the primary, coming in second for the S.C. county with the most voter participation.

The Palmetto State set a new record for GOP primary voter turnout.

The previous S.C. record was held by the 2016 Republican presidential primary with over 740,000 ballots.

This year saw over 755,000 people show up to the polls, an increase of nearly 15,000 from the previous record.
