University Of Georgia Cancels Classes After Deceased Body Found On Campus
The woman was an Augusta University college of Nursing student at its campus in Athens, the city that's also home to the University of Georgia.
The University of Georgia cancelled all in-person classes after a deceased body was found on campus Thursday.
Police received a call shortly after noon from someone reporting concerns about their friend, who had gone for a run near Intramural fields.
Police started a search that lead to finding an unconscious person with “visible injuries” behind Lake Herrick around 12:30pm.
Authorities attempted to administer medical aid, but the person was pronounced dead at the scene.

Foul play is suspected in the victim’s death.
