Little River Medical Center To Use Grant For New Clinic Location

The grant provides one-time infrastructure funds to create or improve facilities in rural or medically underserved areas.

Little River Medical Center is the recipient of one of 26 grants awarded by the South Carolina Department of Health and Human services.

The grant provides one-time infrastructure funds to create or improve facilities in rural or medically underserved areas.

Those being awarded will receive up to $3 million in one-time infrastructure funds and must operate grant-funded facilities for at least five years.

Little River Medical Center intends to use the grant to build a 10,000 square-foot clinic in Aynor.

The new clinic will include primary and preventative medical care, mental health care, a drive-up pharmacy and more.
