River Oaks Golf Club Property Sold But Golfers Can Still Play Through 2025

River Oaks is the leaseholder of the golf business and not the actual owner. Records show Chris Manning Communities closed on the deal last week.

For over a decade, the River Oaks Golf Club has been a staple in Horry County for golfers from around the world and on the Grand Strand.

Now, General Manager, Scott Taylor has confirmed the property has been sold.

River Oaks is the leaseholder of the golf business and not the actual owner. Records show Chris Manning Communities closed on the deal last week. They sold the property to Mungo Homes for $9.5 million.

The exact plans for the property are unknown at this time. However, previous plans reportedly included 220-single family homes.

Despite the property being sold, golfers will continue to have the opportunity to play on the course through 2025.
