NASA Wants Volunteers to Simulate a Year-Long Mission to Mars

The deadline to apply is Tuesday, April 2nd.

NASA is putting up a martians wanted sign. The space agency is looking for volunteers to simulate a year-long mission to Mars. You’d be part of the second of three ground based mission called “CHAPEA” or “Crew Health and Performance Exploration Analog.” You’ll live in a 3D printed habitat in Houston, simulating Mars challenges like space-walks, crop growth and tech failures. But, you need a science, technology, engineering or math doctorate, and a thousand hours as a pilot. NASA says ideal candidates will also be non-smokers ages 30 to 55 years old…and yes…you’ll get paid but no word on how much. The deadline to apply is Tuesday, April 2nd.
