Senate Voted To Advance Aid Package Measure

The Senate voted 67-27 to move the $95.3 billion package another step toward final passage.

In a rare Super Bowl Sunday meeting, the Senate voted to advance an aid package Sunday.

The Senate voted 67-27 to move the $95.3 billion package another step toward final passage.

The package includes $60 billion for Ukraine, $14 billion in security assistance for Israel, $9 billion in humanitarian assistance for Gaza, the West Bank and Ukraine, as well as $4.8 billion to support U.S. allies in the Indo-Pacific.

The bill did not include border provisions after conservatives objected to a bipartisan border deal last week.

The measure will now be sent to the House where it’s expected to face stiff opposition.
