Five Marines Confirmed Dead After Military Helicopter Crash

Efforts are now underway to recover the remains of the Marines but their identities remain publicly unknown at this time.

Five U.S. Marines were aboard a military helicopter that crashed in the mountains near San Diego.

The CH-53E Super Stallion was reported missing on Tuesday night during a “routine training flight” out of Creech Air Force Base.

The aircraft was located on Wednesday morning near Pine Valley.

All five Marines were initially deemed missing but have now been confirmed to be deceased.

Efforts are now underway to recover the remains of the Marines but their identities remain publicly unknown at this time.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
