Authorities Target Two Texas Companies In Connection To Fake Biden Robocall

Authorities have now issued cease-and-desist orders and subpoenas for two Texas companies including Life Corporation and Lingo Telecom.

Investigators have identified the source responsible for the fake Biden robocalls that aimed to waver New Hampshire voters from taking part in the state’s Republican primary.

The robocalls used artificial intelligence to mimic President Biden’s voice and discouraged people from voting in the GOP primary last month.

Authorities have now issued cease-and-desist orders and subpoenas for two Texas companies including Life Corporation and Lingo Telecom.

Life Corporation was discovered as the source of the calls that were transmitted through Lingo Telecom.

The actions are possibly the first known attempt to use AI to interfere with an election in the U.S..

Life Corporation has not responded to the allegations, bu Lingo Telecom reportedly acted immediately to help investigators reveal information.
