Bookgreen Gardens is expanding!
Crews broke ground on a new Welcome Center and Conservatory Garden Monday.
The Purdy Center will provide additional event and educational program space, as well as include a new contemporary conservatory.
The new space aims to continue educating young people as part of Brookgreen Gardens’ “Campaign for the Next Generation.”
The addition also allows the gardens to grow their horticulture program and provide guests the opportunity to explore tropical biomes and a butterfly garden.
To celebrate the ground-breaking, Brookgreen is hosting a series of art lectures and history programming this month.
