Tesla Recalls Over 2.2 Million Vehicles Due To Small Font Warning Lights

The problem can be fixed through an over-the-air software update which does not require owners to take their vehicles to a dealership.

Tesla has issued a recall on over 2.2 million vehicles.

The recall was placed after the font size of the warning lights on its display was deemed to small.

Warning lights with a smaller font size can make critical safety information on the instrument panel difficult to read, increasing the risk of a crash.

The recall covers various models including the recently released Cybertruck pickup, the Model X and Model Y SUV up to the current 2024 model year, as well as the Model S and Model 3 Sedan up to and including the 2023 year.

Tesla is not aware of any crashes or injuries related to the issue. However, the recall was placed out of caution.

The problem can be fixed through an over-the-air software update which does not require owners to take their vehicles to a dealership.
