Man Arrested After Allegedly Kidnapping Woman In Georgetown County

A Chesnee man has been arrested in connection to a Georgetown County kidnapping incident.
Just before 5am on Saturday, 42-year-old Jonathon Perry allegedly drove four hours to a home in Andrews. Upon arrival, he demanded a woman in the home to meet him outside but instead, encountered another man at the residence and argument broke out prompting Perry to drive his vehicle into the side of the house.
The woman then exited the home and Perry reportedly drug her 20 feet until she “relented” and walked with him to a nearby cemetery.
Following the incident, Perry was arrested and charged with kidnapping, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, malicious injury to personal property and aggravated breach of peace. He his being held at the Georgetown County Detention Center on a $57,100 bond.
