Travel Advisory Raised To Level 3 For Jamaica Amid Spike In Murders

The U.S. government has raised its travel alert level for Jamaica.

The State Department bumped the warning up to a Level 3 travel advisory amid a series of murders in the caribbean nation, urging Americans to “reconsider visiting the island due to crime and unreliable medical services.”

The change comes just a few days after the department issued a warning about the Bahamas, which remains at a Level 2 advisory, urging Americans to “exercise increased caution” after a spike in murders.
