HCFR To Open Three New Stations Come Springtime

HCFR is coming off yet another record year for the number calls handled in 2023, which totalled just under 80,000.

Horry County Fire Rescue expects to open three new fire stations this spring.

Station 4 will be located in Forestbrook, Station 12 in the Nixonville-Wampee area and Station 14 is set to open in the Shell area.

Each of the new facilities are expected to be completed sometime in April.

The department is excited to see the construction progress while recruiting 50 new members who started training last week.
