Two Georgetown County students allegedly made threats toward two elementary schools Wednesday.

A 10-year-old girl allegedly said she wanted to bring a gun to school and kill several students of Kensington Elementary School. She has been charged in a juvenile summons.

At McDonald Elementary, an 11-year-old girl threatened to ‘shoot up’ the school after getting into an argument with a friend. She was issued a juvenile summons as well.

In both incidents the homes of the suspects were searched, one in which no weapons were found, and with the other, weapons were located in a secured safe.

Both students are expected to be subject to discipline under the district’s policy.

Both schools have continued operating under normal conditions.
