U.S. And British Militaries Launch Additional Strikes Against Houthis

The U.S. and British strikes were said to have successful impacts but it is unclear at this time if there were any casualties among the Houthis.

The U.S. and British militaries have conducted a second round of strikes against Houthi targets in Yemen.

The attacks were launched with support from Australia, Bahrain, Canada and The Netherlands.

The eight retaliatory airstrikes targeted Houthi territories including “missile systems and launchers, air defense systems, radars, as well as buried weapons storage facilities.”

The strikes aim to “degrade Houthi capability to continue their reckless and unlawful attacks on U.S. and U.K. ships as well as international commercial shipping in the Red Sea, Bab al-Mandeb Strait, and the Gulf of Aden.”

The Iran-backed militant group has launched over 30 attacks in commercial shipping lanes since November.
