The CDC has been investigating the outbreak across 22 states from the beginning of January. Since then, 23 new cases were added totaling 47 cases. Ten people have been hospitalized from the outbreak.

The CDC is cautioning consumers from eating certain products sold at the retailers. The Busseto brand “Charcuterie Sampler” sold at Sam’s Club, and the Fratelli Beretta brand “Antipasto Gran Beretta” sold at Costco, should be avoided. Any lot code of these packages could be contaminated.

Consumers should throw these products away immediately and clean any surfaces they came in contact with. The agency also warned the businesses to refrain from serving and selling the products but an official recall has not been placed at this time.
