Israel To Appear Before The International Court Of Justices

The South African government brought the case against Israel, accusing it of being in breach of its obligations under the convention in its war on Hamas.

Israel is appearing before the International Court of Justices in an intense case that could determine the course of their ongoing war in Gaza.

The South African government brought the case against Israel, accusing it of being in breach of its obligations under the convention in its war on Hamas.

South Africa claims Israel is engaging in and risks further engaging in genocidal acts against the palestinian people in Gaza. The acts include killing Palestinians, causing them serious bodily and mental harm and inflicting on them in conditions of life calculated to bring about their physical destruction.

Israel has rejected the accusation with their prime minister calling it false.

The country is set to appear in court Friday to contest the accusations.

A ruling on genocide could take years, but the war in Gaza could be paused in the meantime.

Experts say this is the first time that the jewish state is being tried under the United Nations’ genocide convention.
