Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and Former S.C. Gov. Nikki Haley faced off in the final GOP debate that was held Wednesday night.
DeSantis and Haley are competing to become the top alternative to Former President Donald Trump in the Republican party’s presidential primary.
They spent their time slinging attacks and calling each other liars. However, both ignored Trump, who per usual was not present, but they did share opinions on why he should not be elected again.
DeSantis and Haley covered off on top GOP topics including ending illegal immigration, cutting taxes and reining in the federal budget. The two candidates also touched on hot topics such as abortion, foreign policy and both tiptoed around questions involving the January 6th Capitol attack.
Just hours before the debate Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie dropped out of the race.
There are now only five remaining candidates in the Republican field including Trump, Haley, DeSantis, Vivek Ramaswamy and Asa Hutchinson
