At Least 21 People Injured After An Explosion At A Texas Hotel

A spokesperson for the Fort Worth Fire Department said they have reason to believe this was some sort of gas related blast.

An explosion occurred shortly after 3pm on Monday at a hotel in Fort Worth, Texas.

At least 21 people were hurt including four that were seriously injured and one in critical condition.

Built in 1920, the Sandman Signature Fort Worth Downtown Hotel has 245-rooms and is one of the city’s historical buildings.

A spokesperson for the Fort Worth Fire Department said they have reason to believe this was some sort of gas related blast.

Authorities are still investigating but everyone has since been removed from the building.

The hotel’s structure did sustain damages and will not be taking bookings “until further notice.”
