SCOTUS To Review Colorado’s Decision To Remove Trump From State’s Ballots
Last month, justices of Colorado's Supreme Court deemed Trump ineligible to hold office again because he engaged in insurrection with his alleged actions leading up to the January 6th storming of the Capitol.
The U.S. Supreme Court announced it will review the Colorado Supreme Court’s decision to remove Donald Trump from the state’s ballot.
Last month, justices of Colorado’s Supreme Court deemed Trump ineligible to hold office again because he engaged in insurrection with his alleged actions leading up to the January 6th storming of the Capitol.
For now, the former president will remain on the state’s primary ballot as the lower-court ruling to disqualify him has been put on hold pending the Supreme Court’s action.
If the justices do conclude Trump is ineligible for public office, any votes cast for him would not count.
The high court is scheduled to hear oral arguments on February 8th.
